I've blinded you....with Science!

Attention! Attention! I have unraveled a glorious mystery.

As I was sitting at work, thinking about how I should be doing homework, or studying for my CCNA certification, my mind drifted (as it usually does) toward...anything distracting. When I try to study, my mind goes into a pre-programmed protective mode that sends random thoughts of distraction to keep me from learning. It's quite amazing what my mind will do to distract me really. One such distracting thought was my blog. It's been quite a while since my last post. As I looked over my posts I wondered why I'm so horrible at posting -- I want to post and know full well how much my contribution to the blogosphere inspires humanity. "What does it all mean" I said to myself. As I looked deeper and deeper into this enigma, I started to see a pattern so obvious it is embarrassing I hadn't noticed it before.

If you look at the frequency of my posts, they can clearly be described by the following equation.

I have unconsciously been posting using the Golden Ratio!

Adolf Zeising, whose main interests were mathematics and philosophy, found the golden ratio expressed in the arrangement of branches along the stems of plants and of veins in leaves. He extended his research to the skeletons of animals and the branchings of their veins and nerves, to the proportions of chemical compounds and the geometry of crystals, even to the use of proportion in artistic endeavors. In these phenomena he saw the golden ratio operating as a universal law. Zeising wrote in 1854:
[The Golden Ratio is a universal law] in which is contained the ground-principle of all formative striving for beauty and completeness in the realms of both nature and art, and which permeates, as a paramount spiritual ideal, all structures, forms and proportions, whether cosmic or individual, organic or inorganic, acoustic or optical; which finds its fullest realization, however, in the human form.

True that Adolf Zeising! True that'
